Maybelline has come out with a new Mascara! It is approximately $9. I mean but who really cares about eyelashes anyways? They are just hairs that grow out of your eyelid but what is the big to do about them? Well eyelashes tell a woman’s story and make them more than what meets the eye. If you really pay attention to a women’s eyelashes you can just about tell her story. No, it’s not that deep but they are a big deal! From long lashes, lash extensions, eyelash lifting, mascara, strip lashes, to just the bare lashes every woman is completely different and yes the lashes make the woman! Women take pride in their eyelashes.

Maybellines new Colossal Big Shot Mascara is, “Volum’ Express® The Colossal Big Shot™ Mascara unloads fully loaded volume in one coat”. The company claims that in one application you will have the most voluminous lashes that anyone has ever seen, they will be Colossal!

Well is that the truth?

Maybelline says these are the steps to apply the Mascara:

Step 1. Sweep the Big Shot brush from root to tip for dramatic volume.

Step 2. Repeat to build even bigger volume.

Step 3. Do not let mascara dry in between coats.

Step 4. Easily remove mascara with Maybelline Expert Eyes® 100% Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.

I have tried the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara and my initial thought was wow. After one coat I definitely did see a difference. My lashes did look voluminous, long, fake, and not clumpy. I have worn just this Mascara with a full face makeup and it did the job.

Out of 10 I would rate this Mascara a 9. The Mascara went on easily and did not smear throughout the day. My lashes looked the same at 10pm when I washed my face as it did when I first applied the Mascara at 10am. I use coconut oil to remove my makeup and the Mascara did not easily remove how I expected. I’m sure that if you go by the directions and use what the company says to remove the Mascara, there will be no hassle.
